Angela Watson is a National Board Certified Educator, with eleven years of classroom teaching experience and over fifteen years of experience as a K-12 instructional coach. She began developing this curriculum in 2023 in response to the growing need of parents and educators to help learners focus their attention and manage time and energy.
Each unit was developed and released for a beta tester group of high schools (spring 2023) and a beta tester group with middle schools (fall of 2023), and elementary beta groups (spring 2024.)
Finding Flow Solutions offers curriculum resources for grades K-12 and higher education:
10 lessons in 1 unit for little learners (lower elementary)
25 lessons in 6 units for big kids (upper elementary)
55 lessons in 6 units for pre-teens (middle school)
55 lessons in 6 units for teens (high school and university)
Yes! The curriculum line designed for teenagers may be used at the high school level for younger teens, or for older teens to help them experience success in their freshmen and sophomore years of college.
This curriculum line is perfect for college-level study skills classes and 101 level classes that teach students how to be successful in a university setting.
These units are designed to facilitate productivity and deepen student understanding in EVERYTHING they learn, both in school and outside of it. These habits of mind will support students in reading comprehension and writing, along with scientific and mathematical thinking. In addition to developing ELA (English Language Arts) skills, there are several opportunities in each unit to have students practice applying what they are learning about productivity to your usual curriculum and lessons.

Yes! Any group setting will work: homeroom, advisory periods, study hall periods, before/after school programs, group tutoring, etc.
No, there is guided instruction in every lesson that the teacher facilitates, and multiple opportunities for students to learn with a partner and group. A self-guided version for individual students (in the form of a journal) will be available in 2024.
The lessons for grades K-2 take around 15 minutes.
The lessons for grades 3-12 take around 15-25 minutes.
The only exception are in the middle and high school units, in which there is a lesson that guides students to apply productivity practices to your curriculum, meaning students will be working on your usual activities, concepts, and skills during the implementation of the Finding Flow lessons. (You can see an example of how this works in Lesson 2 of the free unit, Foundations of Flow.)
Any way that fits best into your curriculum! You can implement one lesson each day, one lesson each week, or 2-3 each week.
Currently, the Finding Flow Solutions curriculum is available only through the Truth for Teachers website. You can pay securely there through Shopify with credit card or Google Pay.
